Managing your PIN or Face ID / Fingerprint

Open the HotDoc app, select Wallet from the bottom menu, then unlock your Health Wallet using your PIN, Face ID/fingerprint, or HotDoc password.

Select the settings icon, then select Health Wallet Security.

Select Manage PIN or Manage Face ID / Fingerprint
- Follow the prompts to manage your Health Wallet PIN or Face ID / Fingerprint settings.
| Your Health Wallet PIN is separate from your device PIN, and is only used for Health Wallet. |
Manually locking your Health Wallet
You can lock your Health Wallet at any time – for example, if you're handing your phone to someone else.

Open the HotDoc app, select Wallet from the bottom menu, then unlock your Health Wallet using your PIN, Face ID/fingerprint, or HotDoc password.

Select the settings icon, then select Health Wallet Security.
- Select Lock Health Wallet.
| Once locked, you'll need your PIN, Face ID, fingerprint, or HotDoc password to unlock your Health Wallet again. |
Deactivating your Health Wallet
Deactivating pauses your Health Wallet without deleting your scripts. Use this if you'd like to temporarily stop using Health Wallet, or if you're concerned about unauthorised access to your account.

Your scripts will be saved, but you won't be able to access them until you reactivate. Make sure you've saved any QR codes or eScript links you might need in the meantime. To reactivate, you'll need to contact HotDoc support so we can verify your identity by confirming the following:

Open the HotDoc app, select Wallet from the bottom menu, then unlock your Health Wallet using your PIN, Face ID/fingerprint, or HotDoc password.

Select the settings icon, then select Deactivate Health Wallet.

Enter your HotDoc password, then select Deactivate Health Wallet.

Your Health Wallet will be deactivated

If you open Health Wallet again while it's deactivated, you'll be shown a message to contact HotDoc support to verify your identity and reactivate. |
Deleting your Health Wallet
Deleting permanently removes your Health Wallet and all of your saved scripts. Unlike deactivating, this can't be undone.

Open the HotDoc app, select Wallet from the bottom menu, then unlock your Health Wallet using your PIN, Face ID/fingerprint, or HotDoc password.

Select the settings icon, then select Delete Health Wallet.

Enter your HotDoc password, then select Delete Health Wallet.

Your Health Wallet will be deleted. Once deleted, you can set up a new Health Wallet at any time.
FAQs
What's the difference between deactivating and deleting my Health Wallet?

Deactivating pauses your Health Wallet – your scripts are saved, and you can regain access by contacting HotDoc support to verify your identity. Deleting is permanent – all of your scripts are removed straight away, and this can't be undone.
How do I reactivate my Health Wallet?

Contact HotDoc support so we can verify your identity. Once verified, your scripts and settings will be restored as they were when you deactivated.
I forgot my Health Wallet PIN. How do I unlock it?

Select Use your HotDoc password on the unlock screen instead. Once you're in, you can reset your PIN from Health Wallet Security.
What happens to my prescriptions if I delete my Health Wallet?

All scripts saved in your Health Wallet are permanently deleted. This won't affect any paper copies you hold, or your prescription record with your doctor or pharmacy.
