Why do I need a mobile number to register a HotDoc Account?

• This was the process chosen as the most reliable verification method so that our practices have a valid contact should they need to be in touch with you regarding your booking. It is also the method by which they deliver appointment reminders and certain health related information.
  
  

• When registering a new HotDoc account, an active Australian mobile phone number is required to verify your identity. Please see the following article for more information: How to Create a HotDoc account 

• If you are not able to access a mobile phone, you may ask a friend or family member to register a HotDoc account. 
  
  
• HotDoc has a Family Member appointment functionality that allows people who may not have a HotDoc account to use an active member's account to request any bookings necessary without the need for additional contact details. Please see the following articles for more information:
